In an attempt to express what the artist was feeling, "Detached Involvement" is the portrayal of the said individual in their natural habitat, living their everyday life.
While to the outside world it may seem as though nothing has changed, the sequence of the series depicts otherwise.
The artist has tried to capture the essence of what it means to be who they are, in the time-space of when the piece was being created.
Sticking to the most basic mediums - watercolour paper, watercolours, ink and pen, the artists has tried to demonstrate the progression of the amalgamation of emotions that a girl at twenty-two may be going through.
Working through her mind, ‘Detached Involvement’ explodes colours almost symbolic of the burst of emotions that surfaced while the artist was creating it.
